60 years of COOPI: a story that continues

On April 15, 1965, Father Barbieri, together with a group of volunteers, founded COOPI – Cooperazione Internazionale. Sixty years have passed since then: 60 years of commitment and solidarity in support of the world's most disadvantaged communities. It has been a long and inspiring journey filled with people, encounters, and experiences that have changed many lives.

In 2025, key events will celebrate this milestone anniversary, including the international gathering – COOPI Meeting, the International Conference, and the "Cascina Aperta" event in Milan. These initiatives reaffirm COOPI’s ongoing commitment to fighting poverty and inequality while charting the path toward new challenges.

Over six decades, COOPI has implemented more than 3,000 projects in 74 countries, reaching approximately 125 million people and contributing to building a fairer and more inclusive world.
