Call for pilot projects on fire and deforestation prevention. Amazonia+ Program

CALL FOR THE SUBMISSION OF PILOT DEMONSTRATION PROJECTS in the field of forest fire prevention, and the fight against deforestation and forest degradation. AMAZONIA+ PROGRAM

Within the framework of the Amazonía+ Project, funded by the European Union, we are launching a Call for Demonstrative Pilot Projects aimed at preventing deforestation and reducing forest degradation in Amazonian territories.

Who can apply?
Community and productive associations, environmental and territorial authorities, protected area managers, local CSOs/NGOs, and research centers or universities that are part of the Network of Amazonian Universities.

Themes
Participatory governance, evidence-based territorial planning, sustainable productive alternatives, bioeconomy, youth leadership, and community monitoring of wildfires. In line with the Program’s gender approach, women’s participation will be encouraged, and priority will be given to initiatives led by women, recognizing their essential role in environmental management and their particular vulnerability to the impacts of degradation and fires.
