Throughout the last years, the situation in such area has gotten worse due to the violence spread by terrorist group Boko Haram, resulting in a massive displacement of refugees and migrants. COOPI started two emergency projects concerning education, food and nutrition security and protection.
COOPI provides education to children and boys between 5 and 18 years of age by renovating schools, supplying school material and covering related expenses. In addition, it provides psychological assistance to IDPs and the host population suffering from traumas.
