Ecuador: COOPI and Unidos por la Educación join forces to strengthen communities and infrastructure
COOPI - Cooperazione Internazionale Ecuador has signed a framework agreement with Unidos por la Educación (UxE) to collaborate in the territories where both organizations implement projects. The agreement aims to create synergies that ensure the sustainability of UxE’s infrastructure interventions while strengthening community capacities through COOPI’s extensive experience in Ecuador.
The signing took place at UxE’s offices, with the participation of Juan Pablo Guerrero Huerta, Executive Director of UxE, and Belén Ramos, COOPI’s Country Coordinator. Both leaders emphasized the importance of maximizing impact in local communities by ensuring not only the sustainability of infrastructure but also the adoption of participatory approaches that strengthen community work.
This agreement builds on successful initiatives such as Unidos por la Educación’s program, which has improved infrastructure and education quality in more than 150 institutions across 15 provinces in Ecuador. Through this collaboration, COOPI and UxE aim to achieve a deeper and longer-lasting impact.
The partnership between COOPI and UxE marks significant progress toward a comprehensive approach to social intervention. Both organizations are committed to aligning resources and knowledge, ensuring that Ecuadorian communities benefit not only from adequate infrastructure but also from the support needed to enhance their quality of life.
COOPI, active in Ecuador since 1967, reaffirms its dedication to sustainable development and the inclusion of local actors in the areas where it operates.
