Ecuador. COOPI signs agreement with the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil to promote the development and the welfare of vulnerable people
On 5th July 2023, COOPI – Cooperazione Internazionale en Ecuador signed framework collaboration agreement with the Catholic University Santiago de Guayaquil, represented by PHD Rector Walter Vicente Mera Ortiz, to promote the development and welfare of vulnerable people. The Agreement aims to strengthen ties between the two parts and to set common lines of actions to guarantee fundamental rights for those in vulnerable situation. It also establishes that both institutions will work together to develop projects and programs that promote social inclusion and equal opportunities for this population. To achieve this, lines of actions will be drawn within the areas of psychology, architecture and entrepreneurship to address the specific needs of the beneficiaries of COOPI's projects in the city.
This agreement is a major step towards the consolidation of a strategic alliance between COOPI Cooperazione Internazionale and the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil, demonstrating their commitment towards the community and their willingness to contribute significantly to the sustainable development of Guayaquil.
