Amazon. Call for proposals for financial support to third parties

The Amazonía+ project, funded by the European Union and implemented by AICS, FIAP Cooperación Española and Expertise France, invites local and community organisations in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru to apply for third-party financial support (AFT). COOPI – Cooperazione Internazionale is launching a call for proposals to fund six pilot projects on good agricultural and livestock practices.

The objective of the call for proposal is to contribute to mitigating deforestation, forest degradation and the prevention and management of forest fires in the Amazon region by financing projects that promote integrated, participatory and innovative strategic actions, with a territorial and sustainable development approach.

In addition, it pursues the following specific objectives:

Strengthen local and community capacities for forest fire prevention, mitigation and response by supporting community fire brigades and firefighters, supplying equipment, purchasing tools and developing monitoring and control technologies.
Promote sustainable production practices and integrated land management aimed at preventing deforestation and reducing the risk of fires in sustainable agricultural, livestock, agroforestry and forestry systems, encouraging the rational use of natural resources.
Promote inter-institutional coordination, innovation and gender equality through territorial coordination strategies, the testing of public policies, the systematisation and replicability of good practices, and the strengthening of women's leadership and active participation in community, production and environmental processes.

If you are in these territories, this call may be for your organisation:

Bolivia: Amazon region of the departments of Beni, La Paz, Pando and Santa Cruz.
Colombia: Amazon region of the departments of Amazonas, Caquetá, Guaviare, Guainía, Vaupés and Putumayo.
Ecuador: Amazon region of the following provinces: Morona Santiago, Zamora-Chinchipe, Orellana, Pastaza and Sucumbíos.
Peru: Amazon region of Amazonas, Loreto, Ucayali and Madre de Dios.

Apply by: 12 December 2025 (5:00 p.m. – Colombia time).
