Publication of the Record of Questions and Answers regarding the Third Party Financial Support process. Amazonia+ Programme.
From the Amazonia+ Programme, funded by the European Union and implemented by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), FIAP Spanish Cooperation, and Expertise France (EF), a consortium of implementing partners supporting AICS has been selected, led by COOPI – Cooperazione Internazionale, in collaboration with the Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia (UNAD) in Colombia and the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) in Ecuador.
In this context, a call is currently open for financial and technical support to a minimum of six pilot projects on good agricultural and livestock practices aimed at preventing deforestation and/or forest fires within the four priority landscapes identified by the programme. The initiative is implemented through the Third Party Financial Support (AFT) mechanism, which, through its strategic, pedagogical, and technical actions, as well as local coordination efforts, seeks to promote alternatives to the use of fire in agriculture and livestock farming within local communities.
The deadline for submitting questions regarding the provisions established in the published Protocol closed on November 11. The attached document includes the responses to the questions received concerning this process.
